I'm ready to find out if my body and mind can sustain me through 40 consecutive days of yoga. Ideally, it will add up to 4,200 minutes of sweating, breathing, opening, and nonthinking—all before Labor Day. As much as possible, I will chronicle the experience—even on my pissiest days. And, I will be pissy! I’m planning this adventure to coincide with my first month back to school (I teach high school English) and during the hottest months of the year in Escondido! Let’s see how it goes…

Day 15: No More Silence
Our students don't arrive until Wednesday, but spending the evening with 900 parents and students at freshman orientation tonight reminded me of something: yoga studios are quiet, high school campuses are not!
I'm predicting (and I hope I'm wrong), that the next week of blog entries will be brief and possibly unintelligible. Let me apologize in advance....
